‘Korea Electronics Association (company)’ takes a serious view on clients’ personal information and strictly abides by the “Act on promotion of information and communications network utilization and information protection”. The Association shows how your personal information is being used and what action has been made for the protection of your personal information based on our privacy policy. 

Should the company’s privacy policy change, we will notify you of such via our website or through individual notification.
ο This policy will be in effect from Personal Information Handling Policy January 1st, 2013.

The Association collects personal information for sign-ups, consultations, service registrations as below.

The company utilizes the collected personal information for the following purposes
 ο Fulfillment of contract regard9jg service offers and fare allocation, and provision of contents following service offer
 ο Identification using the member management and membership system
 ο Utilization in marketing and advertisement
  - Promotional information transmission including Korean Electronics Show event guidance
  - Various public service marketing hosted by the company

■ Possession and utilization period of personal information
In principle, our company destroys the personal information without delay after accomplishing the purpose. But, under the regulations the related laws, our company may keep the personal information for a certain period as shown below.
 ο Preserved contents: name, ID, password, company name, department, job position, company number, e-mail address, phone number, etc.
 ο Reasons of preservation: Use of credit information and laws related to security
 ο Length of preservation: 5 years

■ Personal Information Destruction Process and Method
In principle, our company destroys personal information without delay after accomplishing the purpose. Here is the process and method of destruction.
 ο Destruction Process 
  - The information you input for signing up will be moved to a separate database (to a separate cabinet in case of paper) after accomplishing the purpose   according to related laws and information protection reasons (refer to the possession and utilization period)
  - The information moved to the separate database will not be used for any other purposes except for when required by law.
 ο Destruction Method
  - The personal information saved by way of electronic file is deleted irreproducibly by the means of technical method.

■ Personal Information Provision
For better quality of service provision, our company provides your personal information as follows.
 ο Subject of Provision : 2024 Korea Electronics Show’s official cooperative firm (equipment, equipment rentals,transportation, registration system, etc.) 
 ο List of Provided Personal Information : Company name, department name, names, positions, company telephone number, and e-mail.
 ο Purpose of Personal Information Use : For personal identification to utilize the membership service and for sharing Exhibition participation information for the smooth preparation of the Korea Electronics Show 
 ο Possession and Utilization period of provided information : 3 months.
 ο Except for the below circumstances.
  - Without prior consent from the users
  - Request from investigative authorites in accordance with the legislations or procedures and means established by law for investigation purposes

■ Entrustment of Collected Personal Information
Our company entrusts consigns participants’ personal information to an external specialized company for service fulfillment. 
 ο Subject of the consignment : The year’s official participant administration registration company
 ο Contents of the Consignment : Personal identification of membership managing service utilization and prior registration managing of Korea Electronics Show

■ Rights of users and legal representatives and the means to exercise rights 
Users and legal representatives may request to cancel the registration and view or edit the personal information of registered self or minors under 14. To view or edit personal information of users or minors under 14, click ‘changing personal information’ (or ‘edit membership information). To cancel registration (withdrawal of consent), click ‘member leave’, and after the personal identification procedures, you can personally view, edit or withdraw. Or contact via paper, telephone or email, the personal information managing supervisor will promptly take appropriate measures. When correction of errors in personal information has been requested, the concerned information will not be used or provided until correction is made. When incorrect personal information has already been provided to a third party, the corrected information will be promptly reported and corrected. 
Our company executes personal information deleted by requests from users and legal representatives by “personal information possession and utilization period”, stated under the company. Viewing or using personal information for other purposes will be prohibited

■ Installation and operation of automatic personal information collecting equipment and rejections
Our company manages ‘cookies’ which constantly save and find your information. Cookies are used for managing oo’s web site. It is a very small text file sent to your browser by the server, and it is saved in your computer’s hard disk. Our company uses cookies for the following purposes.

  - Ex: To deny cookie settings, you can set the options on your web browser and permit all cookies, check whenever cookie is being saved, or deny saving all cookies. Setting method example (Internet Explorer): ‘Tools’ on top of the web browser > Internet option > personal information But, when denying cookie installations, there might be some limitations to service offers.
